A Hampshire Countryside Wedding With A Marquee, English And Bulgarian Traditions, And A Biplane Display<\/strong><\/h5>\n

I really do love my job, especially when I get to photograph weddings like this. What an amazing day, I hardly know where to start.<\/p>\n

Debbie and I headed down to a village outside Winchester in Hampshire on what was a super sunny and breezy Saturday. The day before had been a typical English Summer fail, with dark clouds and heavy rain. So everyone was delighted and relieved when the weather behaved itself, not least the bride’s parents who were busy making final preparations at their home for the marquee wedding reception.<\/p>\n

It was a day full of traditions. A typically English white wedding; the little Hampshire village church, the throwing of confetti, touching and hilarious speeches, the cutting of a (beautiful) cake, and of course the first dance. However it was also flavoured with Bulgarian wedding traditions, such as the bride and groom breaking of bread, and a Bulgarian dance. All great fun to capture.<\/p>\n

I was also told there would be a surprise, and to have my camera ready. Then just as we completed the group shots, a biplane flew over the reception. It did a couple of impressive loop de loop’s, Quite the spectacle given the clears blue skies. A really special moment (and the pilot was the father of one of the bridesmaids!).<\/p>\n

Other highlights were being able to take the bride and groom into an adjacent corn file for some dreamy portraits, complete with floaty windblown veil, and later some further ‘golden hour’ portraits. Oh the sunset…..<\/p>\n

It really was a fabulous day and Debbie and I had a brilliant time. Thank you O & A for allowing me to share these photographs. I hope you all enjoy them. J x<\/p>\n

One of the main advantages of having some family photos taken at home before leaving for the church is being able to have the family pet included. This young lady absolutely loved being a part of things.<\/p>\n

It’s not hugely obvious, but I love how the formation of the cows in the field behind mirrors that of the gents! lol<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"<\/p>\n

If you want to ensure you have your photograph taken as you leave the church, wear an amazing bright red hat! Isn’t it fabulous?<\/p>\n

I love this shot that my assistant Debbie managed to capture of the confetti moments. It’s an alternative angle that we don’t usually see. You can just make out my left foot as I’m running backwards capturing the moment from the other perspective. I also love the way the church door frames the shot!<\/p>\n

It just so happened that the father of one of the bridesmaids had a bi-plane and was able to entertain everyone with a jaw dropping display of aerial excitement.<\/p>\n

I knew from the fine weather that we were due an amazing sunset, so I asked the couple if they would mind popping out for 10 minutes. Well, they timed it perfectly, and these are some of my favourite ‘golden hour’ photographs ever! I absolutely love them. Just look at that light!<\/p>\n

The bride and groom had prepared a fantastic first dance, which absolutely wowed. Following this everyone joined in and had the best fun. It totally reminded me of why I like to hang around for a while after the first dance to capture some uninhibited\u00a0 moves. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
