A Sunny St Martha’s Hill Engagement Shoot
This morning I met up with Rachel and Ian for their Autumn engagement shoot. The couple chose the beautiful surroundings of St Martha’s Hill Chilworth, in the Surrey Hills for their session and they will get married their next March.
Not only do Rachel’s parents live a short walk away, but Rachel’s grandfather’s ashes are scattered in this breathtaking spot, so there is a great deal of emotional attachment to the church and surrounding hills .
We were tremendously lucky with the weather. It was a beautiful crisp morning with gorgeous light. I felt really comfortable with this pair and loved the fact Molly, Rachel’s family dog, came along to get a piece of the action. Hopefully they all felt comfortable too, and the results speak for themselves.
For anyone interested, this was my first outing out with Nikon’s very latest offering, the D750, and so far I could not be happier. It’s a great camera that will be accompanying me along to all my 2015 weddings. Lenses used today included the 24-70mm f2.8, 105mm f2.8 (AF-S Micro), and my absolute fave of the minute the 85mm f 1.8.
Rachel, Ian and not forgetting Molly (who’s eyes made me want to eat milk chocolate buttons), you were great company and I can’t wait to shoot your wedding in this absolutely beautiful location. Enjoy. J x
