A Relaxed Family Centred Hertsford Wedding and Fun Country Pub Reception
Yesterday Melissa and Tim were married at Hertford Registry Office and afterwards celebrated with their wedding party at The Fox & Hounds country pub at Hunsdon.
This was my second trip to Hertford registry and the Fox & Hounds in less than a year. The registry office is particularly good for wedding photographs as the ceremony room has several large windows. Also at the council offices are lovely covered archways which are perfect for portraits (whatever the weather).
Apparently George Clooney was filming his latest movie in this exact location just the day before, so we were very lucky not to have been competing to use the same space. He’d have been so disappointed if I’d had to move him along! 😉
After group photos and a few lovely bride and groom portraits, the wedding party climbed aboard a Routemaster to journey to the Fox And Hounds pub in the village of Hunsdon. From there I borrowed Melissa and Tim for a quick drive down the road to their friend’s house which conveniently backs onto fields. I particularly love these relaxed portraits. The light was really beautiful, and Melissa and Tim enjoyed a little time alone (apart from me being there ogling them with my camera).
This was a very relaxed and family centred wedding and it was clearly so important to Melissa and Tim that their two boys felt involved. I think they really enjoyed themselves (loved their giggles during the ceremony). The couple had arranged for garden games, a kid’s buffet and ice cream, while the adults enjoyed the wedding breakfast and speeches (with the occasional little face appearing at the window).
