A relaxed and heartfelt wedding at Battle Abbey School
Yesterday I documented Liz and Dino’s wedding at Battle Abbey school in East Sussex.
The couple’s Swiss and English friends and family (including little Evelyn their baby girl) gathered in the grand setting of the Abbot’s Hall. Readings were recited in German and English, and celebrant Lisa Pope ensured the ceremony remained relaxed and heartfelt.
Outside it was a blustery and wet day, so we remained inside and stayed warm and dry. A little bit of rain can be tolerated, but gale force winds is something no bride should have to tackle on her wedding day! Fortunately there are no shortage of picturesque locations for photos at the school, and we had fun making use of all the various areas including the beautiful Duke’s library. I loved Liz’s choice of cobalt blue for her bridesmaids, as well as her blue and white flower theme. I’m a sucker for a Grape Hyacinth.
Everyone appeared to have a wonderful time, and it was just a really relaxed, joyous celebration.
Liz and Dino, and not forgetting baby Evelyn, congratulations. It’s been lovely getting to know you and capture such an important day in your life. Here is your preview. J x
