Little Dower House Summer Wedding Photography

A beautiful village church wedding with walled garden drinks reception and tipi celebrations at Little Dower House, Old Windsor

I’m so happy to share Ele and Rich’s wedding with you. It was such a fantastic day set in the dreamy and very beautiful setting Of Little Dower House, one of my favourite venues of all time.

When I first met Ele at the couple’s cottage, I was also introduced to their beautiful cats; Simba & Scar, and being a cat lady I knew Ele and I would get along famously. As well as the cats, they also have a pair of Cesky terriers (more from those later), as well as a horse. So animal people, AND amazing taste when choosing a wedding venue. Then when I met up with both Ele and Rich at Little Dower House ahead of the wedding, I found them to be such a sweet and likeable couple.  So yep, I was really looking forward to this one.

I started cover at Little Dower House where Ele, her mum and bridal party were putting the final touches to their preparations, before travelling onto their local village church, tucked away at the end of a leafy lane.

The ceremony was really lovely (plus a super friendly vicar), and I was yet again reminded how lucky I am to be able to be up close and personal to document such a special moment between a couple. After confetti in the church yard, everyone made their way a short distance up the hill to Little Dower House and to a drinks reception in the walled garden.

Guests were entertained by a military band, and enjoyed delicious canapés, cool drinks and warm (very warm) sunshine. Then in time, everyone made their way to the field to take their seats for the wedding breakfast while I grabbed the couple for a few relaxed bride and groom portraits.

The whole wedding celebration had such a relaxed feel; with garden games and a pool table on the lawn, gorgeous sunset, lots of laughter, great music, and of course dance . It was just one of those balmy summer evenings when you want to stop time and endlessly savour the moment. I guess that photos are there for!!

Ele and Rich, thank you for choosing me to document such an important day in your life. I had such a brilliant time.

Also thanks to Susie and Hamish who own Little Dower House for always making me feel so comfortable and looked after, Kerry from A Bit Of A Do for feeding me, and the whole wedding party, family and friends for being such a great crowd to photograph.
