A Beautiful Autumn Wedding At Millbridge Court Frensham Surrey
Yesterday Ben and Rachel married at Millbridge Court at Frensham in Surrey. I’ve been looking forward to this wedding for absolutely ages, having met the couple before they had booked their venue. So when they told me they had booked Millbridge Court I was over the moon.
I first visited the venue at the launch party a few years ago, and have since shot several bridal styled shoots at this terrific purpose built venue. This was however my first actual wedding, and it could not have been for a nicer couple. Some venues can be a little tricky when it comes to shooting Autumn and Winter weddings (when daylight is limited and weather a challenge). Millbridge Court has been specifically designed to let as much light in as possible, so even on a rather dark, rainy day like yesterday, it’s still a joy to document a wedding.
I started cover by capturing some bridal prep shots in the beautiful upstairs bridal loft. It’s a great area with plenty of light and space with several stations for hair and makeup. It also has the added benefit of a circular window (with oneway glass) to spy guests arriving. Meanwhile, Ben and the guys were getting ready in the Hideaway in the wooded area behind the main building.
Rachel’s dress was perfect for an Autumn wedding with delicate lace sleeves, teamed with the palest ‘something’ blue satin bridal pumps by Sophia Webster, complete with crystal heels.
All the wedding flowers, which were mainly a refreshing and sophisticated green and white, were provided by The lavender Hill Flower Company, however Rachel’s bouquet also featured beautiful pale pink Protea.
Ben and Rachel married in one of the large halls, before confetti, canapés, and group shots. Then thanks to a break in the weather, we headed out into the garden to capture some wonderfully Autumnal bride and groom portraits.
Kalm Kitchen provided a fantastic wedding breakfast, and Spongeworks a fab semi-naked three tired wedding cake.
Musical entertainment was provided by Thom Music, and later a DJ and lights from Farnham Sound And Light.
