A Beautiful September Outdoor Wedding In The Pavilion At Pennyhill Park
Yesterday I returned to Pennyhill Park to photograph another beautiful wedding, and this time it was Caitlin and Scott’s special day.
The week leading up to their wedding had been full of unpredictable weather, with storms and heaven sudden rain showers, but I’m pleased to report the weather well and truly behaved itself for this gorgeous couple’s special day.
I began with covering bridal prep in the Lingfield suite. If you are booking your wedding at the hotel, I can wholly recommend this as a great space for getting ready. The light is beautiful, and the layout really lends itself to the bride, mother of the bride, and the whole wedding party getting ready.
As 1pm drew closer, I made my way to the Terrace and Pavilion where groom Scott, his best man and groomsmen, and wedding guests were assembling with great anticipation and excitement. The clouds began to break, sun shone threw, and the scene was absolute perfection. There may be many steps to reach the Pavilion, but they create a real sense of drama. It’s quite the entrance!
Following a wonderful ceremony, everyone enjoyed drinks and canapés on the terrace. Then group shots and bride and groom portraits followed. Caitlin and Scott’s portraits were very important to them, so we didn’t rush and made full use of Pennyhill Park’s the beautiful grounds. I must day Caitlin looks amazing, and of course Scott very handsome too! 🙂
Later guests enjoyed the wedding breakfast which was followed by some hilarious speeches. I chortled at them all, but in particular Caitlin’s sister (and identical twin) and her reference to it being ‘their big day’. 🙂
This was a truly fantastic day, and an absolute joy to capture. I’m so pleased to share this preview with you, Caitlin and Scott, and all your lovely family and friends.
Enjoy! J x
