A Fabulous Winter Wedding At Pennyhill Park Hotel With Toasted Marshmallows And Sparkler Fun!
Yesterday I popped down the road to Pennyhill Park to shoot my final wedding of 2019, and it was an absolute fabulous corker of a day.
Matt and Craig had the best sunny bright weather outside, and cosy and elegant Christmassy surroundings inside, for their December winter wedding. It was a day full of emotion, with many tears of happiness shed. The guys are so lovely, as are their friends and families. In fact following their vows, the registrar turned to me and said ‘You really can really feel the love in this room’, and she was right. I might have used my camera to hide a little tear myself!
Following the ceremony in the library, we were able to pop out for some group shots and toasted marshmallows. Then with temperatures dropping, we all headed back to the library for more drinks. The wedding breakfast was served in the Windsor suite, before everyone made their way back upstairs towards the library once again.
Matt and Craig really fancied using sparklers in some way during their day, so we organised for everyone, including their evening guests, to welcome them back to the library with a line of sparklers. With all the guests taking part, and the early to dark December night, it was really very effective and lots of fun. Then there were speeches, with Craig and Matt stepping up with great humour, as well as heartfelt sentiment. Then the beautiful cake was cut and and everyone returned to the Windsor suite for live music and dance, with sweetie table, buffet, guests book and photo wall.
This was such a relaxed and enjoyable winter wedding to capture. Although my style is mostly documentary, the guys were happy to just go along with any suggestions I had. It was the perfect finale to my wedding year, and I’m so pleased to be able to share a preview with the guys and you all now.
Matt and Craig, I feel like I don’t really need to say this because it’s a given, but Happy New Year! Enjoy your preview. J x
I loved the Craig and Matt’s idea of supply cosy winter slippers for their guests during the evening reception when feet no doubt started to ache. It’s a great twist of offering flip-flops at Summer weddings!
