A Stunning English Garden Wedding
It’s been said that in the game of tennis love means nothing, but it’s clear that for Rosanna and Craig love means everything. From the baseline it was going to be an amazing day, the perfect match. It began as love all, was filled with aces, and ended game set and match with a big win. Great food and drink was ‘served’, the bridesmaids did a fine job with no unforced errors, and the best man delivered a speech with plenty of spin. Oh and Rosanna and Craig even did a bit of jamming on the dancefloor. OK I’ll quit the cheesy tennis references now! 😉
So Rosanna and Craig were married before friends and family in the surroundings of Rosanna’s parents’ house near Chobham in Surrey. They also had the privilege of hosting Rosanna’s sister’s wedding a year before, so this was a smooth operation with loads of beautiful creative touches. The couple officially tied the knot at the registry office, but their emotional wedding ceremony was led by celebrant Anji Petersen in an open marquee backing onto the family’s paddock. At one point a white butterfly even flew past the couple! It was all very special.
Rosanna looked outrageously good in Jesús Peiró teamed with shoes by my favourite designer of bridal shoes – Rachel Simpson. Her natural dewy makeup was applied by Mel Kinsmen, and Rosanna’s fair hair was kept floaty and free with waves by Amanda White. Rosanna’s bridesmaids’ frocks came from Little Mistress and were a super a pretty pink with sequin detail.
The grounds were adorned with metres of organza ribbon, silver and gold baubles, arches of pink and white blooms, literally miles of fairy lights, and little golden woodland beasties. As night fell the setting shifted from English country garden to sparkling party venue. A perfect setting and calling it a ‘backyard’ wedding seems an understatement.
