An Autumn Wedding At Great Fosters Hotel
On Sunday I returned to beautiful historic venue Great Fosters, to document Liz and Neil’s Autumn wedding. The couple are friends of Nicky and Chris whose wedding I photographed at Great Fosters back in 2014. Having heard about me through them and seen their wedding photographs, Liz and Neil were keen to book me and of course I am always thrilled to return to Great Fosters. It rained so heavily in the morning, but by the time I arrived at the couple’s home to photograph Liz’s final preparation the sun had come out.
The couple chose to be married in the Orangery, and afterwards entertained their guests in the Tithe Barn. The room had been fabulously decorated with bunting and fairy lights and provided a magical setting for the wedding breakfast.
Liz and Neil were really looking forward to their couple’s portraits, so I was so glad the weather behaved itself. We were able to make full use of the venue’s beautiful grounds including the Japanese bridge with its lush Wisteria foliage, as well as the rose garden.
Later guests were thrilled by the couple’s first dance, accompanied by Ember Big Band, who Liz also plays saxophone for. We had our very own Strictly Come Dancing performance, with the judges’ scores and all!
Liz and Neil, it really has been a pleasure to get to know you both and to be able to document this very special day. I hope you are having a wonderful time in Mauritius. Enjoy your preview. J x
