Joe Dan and Joanna are two of the nicest people you could possibly meet. They married at the Guildhall Windsor on the eve of the opening ceremony of the Olympics in an intimate ceremony surrounded by close family and it was beautiful.
The couple who originate from Texas, have made a temporary home of Windsor whilst over here for work, and like me (an ex-Windsor resident), love the town. With plans to return to the States at the end of the year, they decided to get married in the rather grand setting of Windsors’s Guildhall. However, this was no stuffy affair, it was relaxed and so touching and possibly the most relaxed wedding day I have ever covered.
After the ceremony the wedding party made their way to the pub for a few pints and a very important phone call to JD’s parents, before I whisked the pair away for some photographs on the Long Walk. We were then joined by the rest of the family to capture some rather scenic groups shots before finishing off at the couples favourite pub, The Two Brewers. Lovely, entirely relaxed, special.
Joe Dan and Joanna (honorary Windsor swans), thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day. x
