A 90th Birthday Party At Fetcham Park
Last weekend I had the absolute pleasure of documenting a very special birthday party for Pat, at Surrey’s Fetcham Park. It was a happy and joyous event involving Pat’s nearest and dearest as well as her wonderful friends of many years.
The house provided the perfect setting for this elegant 90th birthday celebration. It’s such a fabulous venue, grand and yet very warm and welcoming. If you’re not familiar with it, you’ll be pretty amazed at just how beautiful it is. They say the house ‘truly comes alive when it’s full of happiness and love’, and it really does. Everyone from the very youngest, to the more senior in years, enjoyed looking around the house, as well as the grounds, and the food, wine, and general ambience. On a personal note, it was also lovely to see Naomi and Pat’s great nephew Chris again. I shot their wedding at Fetcham a few years ago, so it was great to catch up and meet their little girl.
At Home catering provided canapés and a delicious menu which included; smoked salmon with spiced aubergine, Beef Wellington, and a trio of desserts with apple crumble, creme brûlée, and black berry sorbet. Is your mouth watering yet? I got to taste them all, and I can tell you they were absolutely delicious. At Home also provided the place settings, crockery and glassware, and I have to say the The Salon looked stunning. To finish, Blomster Designs provided perfect Spring floral centre pieces which included; Hyacinth and Roses, and they smelled utterly glorious!
This was a really lovely occasion to photograph. I hope that when I am 90, I’m able to bring all my family and friends together to celebrate with such style. How amazing to be surrounded by so many people who love and think the world of you.
