Jen & Alex’s Barn At Bury Court Wedding
Canadian Jen wed beau Alex in the typical English setting of the Barn at Bury Court. With fine September weather, the Surrey venue really was the perfect setting for a relaxed, charming, and very beautiful day.
We began cover during Jen and her bridesmaids’ final preparations at the Mercure Farnham Hotel before moving on to the venue.
Jen teamed her gorgeous ivory lace Suzanne Neville frock with some purple suede Jimmy Choos. Her bridesmaids wore wine coloured dresses brought over from Canada. It made a very pretty change to the usual pastel and the girls looked gorgeous. Jen told me her inspiration came from the red wine she loves to drink – a girl after my own heart!
A wonderful feature of this wedding was the amazing flowers provided by Hungerford Florist Martin And The Magpie. In addition the venue’s award winning gardens, including fabulous purple Dahlia, perfectly complimented Jens and Alex’s colour scheme. I adored the grass specimens which provided wonderfully natural architecture for the couples portraits.
Catering was provided by Jacaranda and the canapés looked especially delicious. The air was thick with ginger and garlic, and I witnessed a couple of the younger guests enjoy more than a few juicy prawns!
This was a great day to capture. I was joined by assistant Debbie and we had an absolute ball. Thank you once again Jen and Alex for having us along. Enjoy. J x
