A Warm & Sunny Vibrant October Wedding At Pennyhill Park Hotel
Yesterday I was back at Pennyhill Park for my final wedding of the season to photograph Betheney and Anthony’s wedding celebration. The couple live in the states, but have family in the UK and so following formalising their marriage in New York, chose Pennyhill Park to bring their families together to celebrate with a ceremony led by family member and minister John.
Now obviously October can be a bit hit and miss with the weather, but yesterday was unseasonably warm at 20oC (that’s 68oF) :). I was so happy for Beth and Ant because it meant they were able to have an outdoor ceremony in the Pavilion, which had made a great impression on them when they first visited the venue. Before and after the ceremony they were really able to take advantage of the beautiful setting and enjoy the autumn colours (especially the Virginia creeper covering the library), which seem especially vibrant this year.
I began cover at a local air BnB where the lovely Lola was on hair and makeup. Then travelled the short distance to the venue where guests were gathering in the October sunshine. Following a beautiful ceremony, which including an amazing solo by the maid of honour, Katey-Rose, and readings by other family members, everyone enjoyed drinks and canapés on the terrace. Then following some relaxed group shots and bride and groom portraits, everyone made their way into the library for some great speeches and the wedding breakfast.
This was a fantastic fun wedding to shoot. I’m so pleased the lovely Beth and Ant chose me to document this special day, which rounded off a brilliant wedding season for me.
I hope you love the previews guys. Have a fabulous time in Greece! J x
