I’m so delighted to introduce you to a wonderful new wedding venue and proud to be a recommended supplier.
If you have dreams of a fairytale wedding, in enchanting woodland and gardens, with just you and your guests, and a collective of the very best wedding suppliers, The Little Dower House is just perfect.
This privately owned utopia with clear views of Windsor Castle, has been Susie’s family’s home for generations. Now, together with husband Hamish, they are offering it as a wedding venue to couples wanting something beautiful and unique. I guess if you hate the idea of your wedding being on the conveyer belt of a busy corporate hotel, this would be your idea of heaven.
I initially came across The Little Dower House on Instagram, and felt an overwhelming and quite uncharacteristic need to reach out and make a connection. So I messaged Susie and we got chatting, and before I knew it we had a set up a date to get together. I felt a bit cheeky and presumptive, yet still I felt drawn to this place. Whether it is just the beautiful surroundings, or the fact I spent much of my childhood just down the road, this place feels so comfortable. I have realised that I am seeking less commercialised and more meaningful places to connect with, and spending time with Susie, her son, Humphrey the Lab, the horses, and her flock of Egyptian Geese, has made me very happy indeed! I think anyone who knows me will get this! 🙂
The Dower House is available now for your marquee, or tipi wedding and for up to 200 guests. Imagine a humanist ceremony in the walled garden, saying your vows beneath the canopy of a magical Catalpa (Indian Bean) tree, perhaps adorned with little lanterns. Sipping champagne and enjoying delicious canapés beside a beautiful stream beside a wild flower meadow. Imagine photographs of yourselves brimming with happiness, against a backdrop of this amazing setting. I’m not selling it, The Little Dower House is selling itself! It’s like a huge ‘best kept secret’ that’s about to be totally found out.
Oh and also, do take a look at the beautiful accommodation where you and your bridesmaids could be getting ready. Or you could be spending your wedding night or even honeymoon there (it’s also available as an AirBnB). There is also a gate house available for guests to stay in. It’s all very very lovely.

Susie, it was so lovely to meet you (I feel I have a new special friend). I can’t wait to return in the future to capture beautiful and unique weddings with you and other like minded people. J x
