A Beautiful October Wedding At Froyle Park Country Estate
I first chatted with Amy and Tom back in March. They had had to postpone their wedding for various reasons, including 2 babies, but had finally booked their wedding for October, and after a good chat, I was delighted when they decided to book me to capture such an important day.
October can be a tad hit and miss in terms of weather, and it was a little cool, but thankfully dry and Froyle Park was looking beautiful when I arrived to start my cover with bridal prep. I love that couples can take over the whole venue for their day, so Tom was just a few rooms away getting ready with his groomsmen and I was able to pop back and forth, naturally without them seeing each other!
The couple chose the Great Hall for their ceremony, a beautiful setting enabling the bride to make a grand entrance as she makes her way down the stairs. As with all weddings I’ve photographed at Froyle Park, I like to stand at the front for most of the ceremony so I can capture all the emotions of the moment.
After the ceremony everyone made their way outside for confetti, which is always fab to shoot, and then we took some lovely bride and groom portraits, as well as videography with the fantastic Everard Films. The couple were then able to have some time with their guests before group photos and importantly, some portraits with their little ones before they headed off for a much needed nap (the children, not Amy & Tom! 🙂 )
Later the wedding breakfast was served in the Ballroom as well as some hilarious speeches, cake cutting, and then of course the first dance, more drinkies, and merriment!
This was such an easy going fun family wedding to shoot, and Amy and Tom made my job super easy. Here are their highlights. J x
